In the process of abrasive flow machining, uneven removal of material occurs, which affects the final quality of the product. We used different guide jet slot widths and made comparisons between the polished and unpolished product. The measurements were performed on a Renishaw Equator gauging system which enabled us to quickly and accurately measure the geometry of the wall and bottom of the tool insert. We found that the greater the width of the gap, the higher the speed of the abrasive mass and consequently the greater removal of the material.
