The goal of this master's thesis was to develop a compact flight analyser for use
in model rockets. Before choosing components and technologies, I first studied all
available options and then choose the most appropriate ones for my device. With the
size of 16 mm x 31,5 mm x 9,5 mm and weight of 4,3 g, my flight analyser positions
itself among the most compact ones, that have integrated display, Li-Ion battery, USB
connectivity and sensors for pressure, acceleration and rotation. By functionality it is
one of the best flight analysers on the market. It boasts sampling frequency of 75 Hz
for barometer and 833 Hz for accelerometer and gyroscope. It has enough storage for
over 600 s of measurements, which, due to high sample rate, allows for an insight into
what happened during flight.
