Abstract
Hipervalentne jodove spojine so danes zelo razširjene v organski sintezi, saj delujejo kot blaga, zelo selektivna, varna in razmeroma poceni alternativa reagentom, ki vsebujejo težke kovine. To so spojine joda z višjimi oksidacijskimi stanji. Organski derivati joda(III) in joda(V) se danes rutinsko uporabljajo v sintezi kot reagenti za različne selektivne oksidacije kompleksnih organskih molekul. V diplomskem delu sem opisala reakcije in metode, kjer nastopajo halogenirane organske spojine. Najbolj znana hipervalentna jodova spojina je 2-jodoksibenzojska kislina (IBX), ki se pogosto uporablja za selektivno oksidacijo primarnih in sekundarnih alkoholov.

Title:Transformations of halogenated organic compounds
Abstract:
Hypervalent iodine compounds are widespread, highly selective, safe and relatively inexpensive alternative to heavy metal reagents in organic syntheses. These are iodine compounds with higher oxidation states. We are routinely using organic iodine(III) and iodine(V) derivatives in synthesis as reagents for various selective oxidations of complex organic molecules. In my work I described the reactions and methods where halogenated organic compounds occur. The best known hypervalent iodine compound is 2-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX), which we use for the selective oxidation of primary and also secondary alcohols.
