Izvleček
Modalna analiza lastnih nihanj paličnih struktur v prostoru z metodo končnih elementov je numerična metoda reševanja realnega fizikalnega problema. Na osnovi predpostavk in omejitev fizikalne strukture izpeljemo lokalno masno in togostno matriko palice, s katerima preko transformacije iz lokalnega v globalni koordinatni sistem tvorimo sistemske matrike diskretizirane strukture žerjava. Za sistem enačb prikažemo reševanje problema lastnih vrednosti in pripadajočih lastnih vektorjev. Končni cilj naloge je izračun lastnih frekvenc in izris modalnih oblik žerjava znotraj lastnega računalniškega programa napisanega v okolju Python. Rezultate primerjamo z izračuni komercialnega programa Ansys Mechanical APDL in dokažemo pravilnost lastnega programa.

Naslov:Modal analysis of three-dimensional truss structures using the finite element method
Izvleček:
The modal analysis of free vibration in truss structures in space with the finite element method is a numerical method for solving real physical problems. On the basis of certain assumptions and limitations of a physical structure we derive a local mass and stiffness matrix of a truss element. After applying a transformation from the local to global coordinate system, we assemble a system matrix of a discretized crane structure. The eigenvalue problem formulation was adopted to compute eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenvectors. The objective of the thesis is the computation of natural frequencies and to animate modal shapes of the crane using a custom Python based program. Results are compared to those generated by the commercially available program Ansys Mechanical APDL. We prove our Python program works with minimum deviation from the reference.
