In the bachelor's thesis, we focused on the problem of unsuitable sealing of the battery carrier in electric car. The available technologies that would meet the requirements were reviewed. We focused mainly on the technologies, which are as feasible as possible on the existing structure and one of their purposes is to ensure sealing. The review provided insight into the mechanism of operation of various technologies, which helped in the selection of the appropriate solutions. From the main requirements and available solutions, a morphological matrix was made and then the concepts were devised. The concepts were evaluated based on the given requirements. The most appropriate concept was selected, defined in detail and the reasons for our decision were introduced. A peel test was also performed with which we determined the most suitable sealant to use in our concept. The final solution was proposed, regarding the current state of the production. Thus, the concept of applying silicone with pneumatic spraying technology was chosen. The choice was most affected by the reduced material mass and the fact that only a few changes in the construction are needed. The manufacturing process is also faster, which further reduces production costs.
