Injection molding is one of the leading manufacturing processes in the world, as almost every plastic product is made this way. The most important component is the tool, which must be manufactured very precisely and well maintained. Only then do we later get the optimal product in line with consumer expectations. This is the biggest problem in manufaturing industry, as tool production times and costs are very high. As a result, only large series of products are produced in most cases, as the production of a small number of products does not pay off due to the huge investment costs of the tool. An alternative solution for smaller series in injection molding is offered by plastic tools, which are manufactured with additive technologies. These have developed intensively over the years and now offer the possibility of manufacturing high-precision, complex products with various materials that are suitable for both home and professional use.
