Abstract
Razlaga kastracije Titove karizme v luči Freudove in Webrove teorije, pomaga nam razumeti postjugoslovanske revizionistične prakse, ki smo jim priča. Revizionizem spomina in kastracija Titove karizme sta nujna predpogoja v političnem boju, saj zatreti spomine na starega karizmatičnega vodjo pomeni odpreti možnost povzdigovanja novih karizmatičnih vodij.

Title:Post – Yugoslavian revisionism of memory: Tito- the path from “the son of all nations” to the “communistic dictator”.
Abstract:
Forty years have passed since the death of the Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito. The theorists of memory claim, that a “cold” memory of Tito has occurred in those forty years. However, we are witnessing the fact that this claim isn’t correct when it comes to Tito because the memory of him is still “hot” and very much present. The memory of Tito in the public discourse of Post- Yugoslavian societies became a “par exellance” field for the political and ideological battle of the society. The analysis of the castration of Tito’s charism in the light of Freud’s and Weber’s theory, helps us understand the Post – Yugoslavian revisionists’ practice, which we are witnessing today. The revisionism of memory and the castration of Tito’s charism are the necessary preconditions in the political battle, because the suppression of memories of the charismatic leader means the emergence of the possibility for the new leaders to appear. The revisionism of memory, whose goal is to destroy the “double” charism of Tito, is a very present debate in the media discourse. Regardless, of all of their tries, the revisionists have apparently failed in achieving their goal, because Tito’s charism became plural. The memories of Tito and Yugoslavia are primarily being maintained in its original and true form, through the transfers of memories and the nostalgic transfers.
