This paper, titled Sineonix Collection, studies upcycling non-textile materials in fashion.
In the theoretical part, I studied the 1960’s and Paco Rabanne as the first designer that made clothes from plastic and metal. I mainly focused on op art design and the use of non-textile materials and upcycling in fashion.
In the experimental part, I designed women’s collection Sineonix, which was inspired by the use of non-textile materials in fashion. I enriched the collection with a collection of handbags.
The result of the paper is a women's collection, made of waste acrylic glass from the Acrytech company and waste ribbons and elastics from the Vrvica company. I found inspiration for the collection in Paco Rabanne’s dresses from the 1960’s and colour paintings of the op art period.
