Abstract
V diplomskem delu je predstavljen celoten proces izdelave 3D upodobitev, ki se kot vsaka stvar, začnejo s skico, nato se oblikuje 3D model, aplicirajo materiali in teksture, dodajo luči in kamere in šele nato sledi 3D upodabljanje. Na koncu je bila izvedena tudi spletna anketa o primerjavi upodobitev. Namen diplomskega dela je bilo raziskovanje in primerjava funkcionalnosti in delovanja dveh različnih upodobljevalnikov, Arnold Render in V-Ray. Primerjale so se tudi končne upodobitve in njihova kakovost. Teoretični del obsega hiter prelet 3D modeliranja, opisana so programska orodja za 3D oblikovanje, specifično Blender in Autodesk Maya, prav tako pa je nekaj besed namenjeno tudi Arnold in V-Ray upodobljevalniku. V eksperimentalnem delu je na hitro predstavljen celoten postopek modeliranja 3D prostora (spalnica), dodajanja tekstur/materialov, luči in kamer na sceno. Bolj obširno so predstavljene najpomembnejše nastavitve posameznega upodobljevalnika in uporabljene nastavitve za končne upodobitve. Rezultati diplomskega dela vključujejo predstavitev analize ankete o primerjavi kakovosti končnih upodobitev. Prav tako je opisano, kateri izmed upodobljevalnikov je po osebnem mnenju boljši, vendar pa je to stvar okusa vsakega posameznika. Vse končne upodobitve so dodane v prilogi.

Title:Comparing different renderers - Arnold (Maya) and V-ray
Abstract:
The diploma thesis presents the whole process of 3D rendering, which, like every thing, begins with a sketch, then a 3D model is created, materials and textures are amplified, lights and cameras are added, and then 3D rendering is followed. Finally, an online survey comparing the renderings was conducted. The purpose of the thesis was to research and compare the functionality and performance of two different renderes, Arnold Render and V-Ray. The final renderings and their quality were also compared. The theoretical part includes a quick breakthrough of 3D modeling, describes 3D design software tools, specifically Blender and Autodesk Maya, as well as some words for Arnold and V-Ray rendering. The experimental work briefly presents the entire process of modeling 3D space (bedroom), adding textures/materials, lighst and cameras to the scene. The most important settings for each renderer and the settings for the final renderings are presented in greater detail. The results of the diploma thesis include the presentation of the analysis of the quality comparison of the final images. It also describes which renderer is better in personal opinion, but this is, of course, a matter of everyone's taste. All final renderings are appended.
