The diploma thesis presents the whole process of 3D rendering, which, like every thing, begins with a sketch, then a 3D model is created, materials and textures are amplified, lights and cameras are added, and then 3D rendering is followed. Finally, an online survey comparing the renderings was conducted.
The purpose of the thesis was to research and compare the functionality and performance of two different renderes, Arnold Render and V-Ray. The final renderings and their quality were also compared.
The theoretical part includes a quick breakthrough of 3D modeling, describes 3D design software tools, specifically Blender and Autodesk Maya, as well as some words for Arnold and V-Ray rendering.
The experimental work briefly presents the entire process of modeling 3D space (bedroom), adding textures/materials, lighst and cameras to the scene. The most important settings for each renderer and the settings for the final renderings are presented in greater detail.
The results of the diploma thesis include the presentation of the analysis of the quality comparison of the final images. It also describes which renderer is better in personal opinion, but this is, of course, a matter of everyone's taste. All final renderings are appended.
