The bachelor's thesis deals with metalworking fluids used in the turning processes. In industry there is often not enough emphasis placed on the maintenance of metalworking fluids and quality checks on them. Consequently, disruptions in work process may occur. The most common metalworking fluids and maintenance of those fluids are presented and described in the bachelor’s thesis. To facilitate the overview of quality and maintenance, we developed and set up a system for automatic control and maintenance of emulsion. The system operates on the principle of cyclic process: it measures the emulsion directly from the tank of the working machine and returns it back to the tank. Based on the values obtained by the sensors that can be read on the screen, the system automatically responds and adds the necessary fluid. The system was tested in a laboratory and the results showed that the convenience, mobility and the reliability of the system contribute greatly to the maintenance of metalworking fluids. As a result, this improves the working conditions during the machining process.
