The aim of the this thesis is to describe and present the performed work in the frame of a reactor line automation project in a pharmaceutical company. Due to the company's desire to produce a new product, the company decided to build a system that would produce this particular product. Company Kolektor Sisteh d.o.o. was in charge for full line automation and development of the SCADA control system. My job was to design SCADA control system, build a program in a software enviroment and perform pre – and during – system testing. In this thesis, I will present the implementation of the defined project goals, namely the programming of the controler and the construction of the SCADA control system.
The first part of the thesis describes various building blocks of the reactor system, used comunication protocols and the used hardware and software.
The second part describes the construction of the SCADA control system and the control part, which was designed using programmable logic controllers from SIEMENS, i.e. SIMATIC S7-1500 series and the TIA Portal v15.1 software enviroment. I will focus primarily on the reactor phase programming.
