The kettlebell is a training equipment used to improve physical fitness and sport performance. It is round, it has a flat bottom and a handle attached to the top. It is also the reason for the name of the sports discipline “kettlebell lifting”. Kettlebell lifting is a competitive sport where one can compete in three disciplines, one of these being the long cycle.
The Master’s thesis is of a monographic type and is based on the study of professional and scientific literature. The basic purpose of the thesis is to describe the technique of the kettlebell long cycle and to establish methods of teaching. The long cycle technique is divided into ten main phases and corresponding visuals display is added as well.
First, the description of the technique is given. Then, the method of teaching the long cycle technique is established, which follows ten methodological steps. Each step describes positions or phases one has to master in order to continue with the next step. To successfully learn these positions, each step also offers the description and visuals of adequate exercises.
