The master's thesis presents an upgrade of the selected small hydropower plant (SHP) with appropriate equipment for a comprehensive supervisory control system. Initially, systems and subsystems of hydroelectric power plants, industrial communications, sensor networks and possible ways of measuring water levels are presented. Following are more detailed presentations of the selected SHP, updates to the electrical installation and software development for a control system at the SHP intake structure - this section also introduces the implementation of sensor network nodes for monitoring the water levels at the SHP intake structure based on XBee radio modules.
Finally, the development of a comprehensive supervisory control system for the selected SHP is presented. It is based on web technologies, the ASP .NET Core framework and the Raspberry Pi platform.
