The optimal data and information flow within any organization represents a key condition for its existence. Adequate and optimized information flow in companies also determines business success and the ability of competing in the market. The diploma thesis presents a study of the current state of information flow in the company A–Anubis d.o.o., Cik-Cak business unit, together with suggestions for its improvements possibilities.
The diploma thesis consists of several content sections. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis describes the importance of business information systems in companies, describing the reasons for their introduction. The experimental part describes the operating process of the company A–Anubis d.o.o., Cik-Cak business unit, in detail, together with the key information on the company's business operations. The thesis describes the entire process of information flow in the company, from the begining acceptance of the order to the final production of the product and its dispatch to the end
customer. The process of data processing and key information within the use of the
existing Vasco business information system used in the company is also described in
detail.
Research of the data and information flow in the company A–Anubis d.o.o., Cik-Cak business unit, showed that the main problem in optimizing operations presents the flow of information among employees. Unfortunately, despite the tremendous technology advancement, the information within the company still relays on a time-consuming process of physical orders transfer. By observing the information flow, we have searched for the "bottlenecks" and based on our findings, we were able to summarize some possible improvements that are relatively easy to implement in practice and which, by
increasing the use of the information system, could enable the company to perform better and at the same time increase their competitiveness in the market.
