Then we proceed with different coping mechanisms for the child and their concerns. Literature containing coping methods for teachers in kindergarten is also presented in this thesis.
The research part of the thesis is based on the analysis of the data obtained from a questionnaire in which preschool teachers from five different preschools in Pomurje participated. When designing research for thesis, attention was drawn to the nature in which educators are face and discuss taboo issues with children, and at what age they think is appropriate. Further, it was highlighted how they felt dealing with this topic. The data shows that, according to most preschool teachers, this topic is appropriate for all ages. However, in most cases, they are merely discussing the death children when question about it. To summarise, teachers feel only partially qualified to deal with topic of death, which can be also a key factor to not take an initiative to plan future assignment on pointed out issue.
