The purpose of the thesis is to evaluate aerodynamic properties of an orchard sprayer at the exit from the axial fan. A measuring line was created, to move 3-Dimensional Pitot probe and the vane anemometer around the space in front of the orchard sprayer. With the measuring equipment, the size and the direction of the velocity vector of the airflow was measured, at different operating conditions and distances from the orchard sprayer housing. Based on the measuring results, the mechanical and geometric effects of the sprayer housing on the direction and size of the air flow velocity vectors are shown, at the exit from the orchard sprayer housing. On the basis of these effects on the air flow, a mechanical optimization is proposed, which would reduce pesticide loss into enviroment, while the sprayer is operating.
