The company has been experiencing poor results on one of its stamping production lines. We have analysed the current situation with an aim to propose measures that will help eliminate wastage - activities that do not add value and cause costs. The ongoing calculations of the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) provided us with an insight into the current developments and a further comparison of the projected results with each other. We have designed improvement measures considering the weaknesses of the process using the Kaizen - continous improvement approach. We divided the proposed measures into three levels according to the amount of investment required for their introduction, described them and stated their expected impact on the process. Based on the results of OEE and the amount of investments, we have found that the most sensible step is implementation of a combination of measures that don't require an investment with measures that require a medium level of investment.
