In my undergraduate thesis I focus on manifestation of infrarealism in three selected novels from the literary work of Chilean writer Roberto Bolaño. The starting point are novels The Savage Detectives, By Night in Chile and 2666. In all three novels I look for direct and indirect literalisation of Manifesto of Infrarealism. First, I explain the literary-historical context in which infrarealism emerged as new literature and art movement of the Latin American neo-avant-garde, and highlight the main points of Manifesto as they are important for further discussion. In the central part I focus on Bolaño's novels and observe how the author incorporated the highlighted points of Manifesto into selected novels.
