High frequency analysis of individual components in transmission network is being discussed in this master’s degree.
Master’s degree begins with mathematic presentation on commonly used models of electrical transmission lines in computer programs. Due to large impact of impedance at high harmonic distortion, this impact is also presented when selecting the specific model of transmission lines. This is followed by description of largest impacts on impedance in light of high harmonics and description of possible filtration methods for high frequency distortion in electrical transmission network.
Master’s degree is concluded with simulation, developed in program suite DigSILENT. Results are displayed in the form of graphs, depicting dependency of impedance on frequency at the frequency range 10 kHz. Noted and compared was the difference between several serial connected Π models against model with distributed parameters. ‘’Break value’’ was calculated to determine limit, up to which the results for individual transmission line is still acceptable. This break value then enabled us to determine whether each transmission line is suitable for use within frequency range and line length
