If viewed carefully, sequences, patterns, shapes and textures can be noted in nature, which are repeated and act in similar ways in a multitude of different living beings. These elements provide optimum conditions for the development of a particular animal or plant species, whilst also providing them with an aesthetic quality, which has already been studied by many scientists, artists and philosophers. These principles can be found in everything from the sequence of reproduction in rabbits, to the number of flowers and leaves in plants. The degree thesis investigates these natural rules and shows how they connect to the relationship between man and nature. This is supported by reference to the thinking of Rudolf Steiner (1861 – 1925), Masanobu Fukuoka (1913 – 2008), as well as others.
