In the graduation thesis, we deal with establishment of a geodetic network at Ljubljana Castle, which represents a coordinate foundation of a potential capture of the castle using technologies of a terrestrial laser scanning. The objective of the thesis is to establish a geodetic network in a state coordinate system with the accuracy of points better than 2 mm. The graduation thesis encompassed field measurements using GNSS RTK-measurement method, as well as a classical measurement method in which measurements of horizontal directions were performed using girus method, and height differences were defined using a trigonometric altimeter method. We used GNSS Leica Viva GS15 instrument and Leica Nova MS50 tacheometer. In order to obtain insight into the quality of the performed measurements, we performed separate vertical and horizontal adjustment of the geodetic network. As the adjusted accuracies are related to the centre of the prism, but we wanted the accuracy of a point on the ground, we corrected these values for the influence of the centring error and errors of the instrument measuring heights. Even when considering this factor, the objective of the graduation thesis is fulfilled, as the average value of the coordinates’ accuracy is 0.51 mm and the average value of the heights’ accuracies is 1.12 mm.
