The purpose of our research was to determine what is women's opinion on the influence of postpartum exercise on psychological and physical aspects of postpartum phase. Through an online survey, we interviewed 165 women between the age of 21 and 40, who started with postpartum exercise after one or more births. For data analysis, we used program SPSS. We discovered that there were no differences in the loss of body mass between different age groups (p=0,387). We discovered that there were statistically significant differences in loss of body mass according to their weekly frequency of postpartum exercise (p=0,026). Participating in postpartum exercise positively influenced all components of physical fitness. We approved the hypothesis which assumed that moderate postpartum exercise doesn't have a negative influence on lactation (91,95 %), which was a concerning factor for 22,8 % of women. Frequency of postpartum exercise did not influence the result. Before women included postpartum exercise into their routine, 86,11 % of them experienced at least one of postpartum physical problems from which the most common were lower back pain, diastasis of rectus abdominis and urine incontinence. Postpartum exercise positively influenced all the physical problems and with most of them (excluding diastasis of rectus abdominis) 25 % of women reported the problem solved. The biggest improvement was reported with lower back pain and the lowest one with varicose veins, constipation and fecal incontinence. From the start of postpartum exercise, there was a significant improvement of overall well-being (90,58 %). The biggest improvement was reported with energy levels and feeling of fatigue after exercise. The results offer a good insight into the influence of postpartum exercise in the general population.
