Burning in the workplace is a phenomenon of modern times. Burnout is a state of psychophysical or emotional fatigue, which simply means little time for yourself and a relaxation that a person needs urgently to avoid this situation. When the state of burnout already occurs, it means that an individual has been exposed to stress for too long, when personal expectations do not match the realities of the workplace. The purpose of the diploma work is to investigate the path to burnout, its symptoms and its occurrence, and the consequences when it already occurs. The aim of the diploma work is to investigate the incidence and causes of burnout by the organizations concerned on the basis of a previously conducted survey. The findings analyze the knowledge of stress situations and burnout, but its occurrence in the given organization is not observed. Employees are occasionally overburdened, but still only within the limits of real expectations, therefore they do not state the state of burnout and know it. Comparison with Croatia and the United States of America has just shown similar results in the appearance of Burns, as all the modern countries of the world are facing overburdening on working meats, and consequently with too many costs for safety and health at work due to reduced productivity, increasing absenteeism and fluctuations. Theoretical method, analytical and comparative method are used.
