In the thesis a dynamic analysis of an already built guitar was done. Using experimental modal analysis its natural frequencies were measured, and the values were compared to the results of modal analysis using the finite element method made with Ansys software. The correlation between measured and calculated values was very good, since the mechanical properties of the wood from which the guitar was made were not exactly known. Besides the analysed guitar, three additional guitars were taken and their responses to the excitation of string A (110 Hz) were measured where the string was excited always in the same way with a specially designed exciter. The excitation forces of the string in all three directions were also measured, by which the string excite the guitar body through the bridge. Comparison of the excitation and response spectra of guitars showed that different guitars differently dampen higher harmonic frequencies, which affects the sound quality of the guitar.
