Solid (Social Linked Data) is a set of suggestions and tools for building distributed social applications based on the principles of linked data. Solid is modular and scalable and is mostly dependent on W3C's existing standards and protocols. We use a node-solid-server to develop an application prototype. The application is related to the healthcare industry and supports the creation of new Solid accounts, secure authentication using WebID Web identity and TLS standards. Application's users are divided into two groups, healthcare professionals and patients who may have their medical records updated and edited. Our solution is also evaluated and compared with existing solutions used in healthcare. We conclude that using Solid approach in healthcare has potential. However, the adoption of the approach in practice may prove difficult because healthcare is usually managed by the state. In general, semantic web technologies are less known. As a result, development is more expensive than conventional technology, which may not be in the interest of the state.
