V magistrskem delu so predstavljeni teoretično ozadje in pristopi pri obravnavi mehanskega odziva geometrijsko nelinearnih konstrukcij z uporabo metode končnih elementov.

Naslov:Numerical modelling of geometrically nonlinear mechanical response of a micro-switch
Izvleček:
Working principle of micro-switches is based on geometrically nonlinear mechanical response, since the switch of electrical contacts, whereby the electrical circuit is connected or interrupted, occurs due to the snap-through of the inner metal mechanism of the micro-switch. The master's thesis introduces theoretical background and approaches when discussing the mechanical response of the geometrically nonlinear structures by applying the finite element method. The derivation of the formulation of geometrically nonlinear finite elements to solve frame structures is introduced, as well as their implementation in the own developed program in the software environment Wolfram Mathematica. The correct functioning is examined with analytically solvable examples. The function analysis of the metal mechanism of the micro-switch is carried out with the program. The process of prestressing the metal sheet, from which the mechanism is made is shown, and then the analysis of different levels of prestress on the mechanism’s functioning is carried out.
