The thesis describes optimisation of a diffusion-based decompression algorithm for calculating a dive profile using air as breathing gas. The goal was to shorten the duration of decompression. Decompression algorithm is based on already existing decompression models, we changed the way maximum pressure values for decompression stops were obtained. We compared approximation of these pressure values with a quadratic and cubic function. We described the effect of water temperature and physical activity of the diver, on decompression and occurrence of decompression sickness.
