Present master’s thesis is divided into tree substantive areas. The first part presents the term of economic operators and a critical definition of the uneven definition of economic operators in essentially identical situations. The second part summarizes the regulation of liability insurance and compulsory liability insurance of economic operators in Slovenia and subsequently in Austria. The features of liability insurance are emphasized in comparison with other non-life insurance. The master's thesis focuses on the comparison of the Slovene and Austrian legislative regulation, and criticizes the Slovenian legislation on liability insurance together with proposals for its improvements. The last section contains concrete examples of compulsory insurance of liability of economic operators in Slovenia and Austria.
