Hadiths play an important role in the Islamic tradition. These are the sayings spoken by the Prophet Mohammed, narrated among people, by their Companions or Followers. Prophet Mohammad saw during his life that people do not only want his teachings and Koran, but they want to be in all resemblance to Mohammed and to be the true Islamic believer. Thus, in the course of his life, the Prophet began teaching Hadiths, and his Companions continued this way of teaching. Later, the Sunnis, as well as the Shiites, notice the importance of developing a hadith methodology.
