The City Municipality of Ljubljana went through a lot of changes regarding transport and mobility since Slovenia entered the European Union. European funds also played a role in these developments. The objective of our research is to find out what influence did the EU-funded projects and other European funds have on transport and mobility development in Ljubljana. For the purpose of our research, we aimed at analyzing finished European-funded projects. In order to gain better insights and understanding of the influence of European projects and funds, we adopted a model based on the policy transfer theory. The model helped us form the interviews we conducted with city stakeholders involved in the addressed/analyzed projects. We found that European funds influenced changes in infrastructure, transport system, mentality and transport planning within the municipality. They also helped to create connections and collaborations between city stakeholders and between departments within the city administration. EU-funded projects contributed to creating a positive political climate which sets transport and mobility among its priorities.
