Qualified work force serves as a guide for a successful development of the company. In order to make employees more efficient in their work places they have to realize that they will be appropriately rewarded for their hard work and effort. It is essential that employees create reward schemes in a way that motivates all their employees to prove their value. In my thesis, I would like to conduct a research on the impact of a reward system on the motivation, performance and efficiency of employees. Furthermore, I would like to determine what kind of a system and type of rewards play a more important role for the employees of the start-up company I conducted the research on. With the help of this survey, we concluded that in this chosen company, the main incentive for a better performance was not a higher salary but above all the recognition on the part of their superiors.
