In the bachelors thesis we are dealing with thermographic detection of flaws in the material, on the basis of eddy currents. The introduction part presents theoretical background of non-destructive testing. Different techniques of thermography are presented with a focus on active thermography with eddy currents induction.
For testing, high frequency generator was developed for excitation of eddy currents in the material. Surface temperature field on a specimen for flaw detection was measured with thermographic camera. The temperature field was acquired co-axialy through a coil with a thermographic camera. The temperature changes on the surface enable us to detect flaws in the material. For primary flaw confirmation magnetic particle testing was implemented.
