Violent criminal offences represent felonies with which the integrity of an individual's body is
compromised. In my dissertation, titled Juvenile girls as perpetrators of violent crimes, I focused on
the criminal offences of homicide and manslaughter as the most severe examples of violent criminality.
Female juvenile offenders of such actions are infrequent in an otherwise comprehensive area of
delinquency. Not only is the appearance of women in criminal law a rarity, but with the added gauge
of minority and lethality, an enigmatic and perplexing profile is revealed, one little is known about.
Throughout my dissertation, I will showcase that the low statistical figures are not meaningless.
Furthermore, it is an issue that should not be overlooked or pushed aside, as is often the case. Despite
the probability of something occurring being low, it is still necessary to underpin the underlying factors.
Thus, I have decided to delve into the topic further. I will expound some theoretical bases for a better
comprehension of the subject, present statistical data, and back everything up with examples from
domestic and foreign case law. The aim of the dissertation is to present the characteristics of such
perpetrators, how they are treated, the comparative-legal aspect of their issued sanctions, and
predominantly to showcase why addressing this particular issue is of the upmost importance.
