The condition for ensuring stability in the power system is the constant service of the balance between consumption and production of electricity. Our network has to be adapted according to the lives and habits of people which are constantly changing. Network problems are caused by our variable and unpredictable electricity consumption, as well as the changing production of increasingly widespread renewable energy sources. This creates an imbalance between production and consumption, which needs to be mitigated. To mitigate this, system operators use a variety of system services that exploit the flexibility of different technologies / elements on the network. In this master's thesis we present some possible technological solutions for providing flexibility and various electricity markets where we can participate. In our work, we conducted a comparison of various options for trading flexibility in different electricity markets with the goal of finding the most profitable strategy.
