Abstract
Protonska terapija postaja vse bolj aktualna, z njo pa tudi potreba po specifični opremi za njeno izvajanje, razvoj katere je kompleksen in potraten postopek. Oblikovanje nadzornega sistema za protonsko terapijo, ki podpira vse različne naprave, je zelo zahtevno, poleg tega pa je za pravilno delovanje potrebno poskrbeti za komunikacijo med napravami in sistemom. V sklopu magistrske naloge smo na praktičnem primeru razložili in opisali postopek izdelave krmilnikov naprav za protonsko terapijo in njihovo integracijo v nadzorni sistem. V uvodnem delu opišemo protonsko terapijo s fizikalnega in robotskega vidika, razložimo potrebo po kompleksni opremi in opišemo vse ključne dele, potrebne za izvajanje protonske terapije. Sledi opis modelov naprav, uporabljenih v namene prikaza razvoja programske opreme in delovnega procesa terapije. Opišemo tudi nadzorni sistem, v katerega integriramo modele, njegovo delovanje in sestavo ter predstavimo zbrane programske zahteve za uspešno integracijo. Na koncu predstavimo zasnovano arhitekturo in opišemo uporabljene komunikacijske protokole, samo programsko kodo in na primeru pokažemo delovanje celotnega sistema.

Title:Integration of proton therapy control system with simulation robotic devices
Abstract:
Proton therapy is becoming more and more utilized. Consecutively, the need for specific software to execute the therapy is on the rise as well. Developing a control system for proton therapy that can support a great variety of devices is complex and time consuming. Besides, it is still necessary to ensure that communication between the control system and the devices is flawless. In presented master’s thesis we have explained and described the development process for the controllers of the proton therapy devices and their integration into the control system based on a practical example. In the introduction we describe the proton therapy from the physical and robotic perspective, explain the need for complex devices and describe all of the main parts needed for proton therapy. This is followed by a presentation of models used in the project for demonstration of development process and the proton therapy itself. We also describe the control system in which we are integrating the devices and present the gathered software requirement for successful integration.
