Injection moulding is a manufacturing process for the production of parts by injection of an under pressured molten material into a mould. Due to the high cost of production, such a tool is used for the mass production of three-dimensional products, which are geometrically complex. The production of this tool is quite challenging, since it's expensive and requires a long-lasting technological process. For this reasons, most companies, for the production of prototype and serial injected products, have recently started to use 3D printed tools.
The purpose of the thesis was to produce a product in a prototype tool. It was necessary to evaluate the differences of the product from the prescribed ones. In order to make the product we have injected into the mould the ABS material. By selecting the correct parameters for the injection of the molten material, we came to the conclusion that the process of making such a product in such a mould is very complex. In the final phase we commented the geometric deviation of the required product.
