Abstract
Moje delo je »avtotematizacija ustvarjalnega ozadja«, pri čemer je poudarek na srečanju z »izvorno« grafiko, z »originalno umetniško grafiko«, ki rezultira v osebni izkušnji grafike in individualnih vidikih ustvarjalnega procesa v grafiki. Poudarek je na grafični akciji, ki je utemeljena na pristnem umetniškem doživetju in ustvarjanju, na pristni čutnosti. Gre za avtentično umetniško doživetje v ustvarjanju, ki rezultira v izrazito snovnem, čutnem in konkretnem artefaktu. Grafična akcija ni le težko fizično delo, temveč grafika terja tudi specifično likovno mišljenje. Pomembna prvina mojega ateljejskega dela je tudi sistematičen študij modernizma, predvsem kubizma. Prav srečanje s Picassom na »štiri oči« je bilo vir za iskanje ustvarjalnih alternativ. Prva je zame oblika in oblike so podvržene katarzi. Ključna je ekspresivna linija, tista, ki nosi »elan vital«. Tu je še Matisse, ki je z barvo vplival na mojo oblikotvnornost in podobotvornost. Ker sem grafike ustvarjala v lesorezu, je bil moj ustvarjalni interes usmerjen v iskanje temeljnih principov »modernega« lesoreza pri Munchu in Kieferju. Naslonila sem se na tradicijo »ljubljanske grafične šole«. Tradicija je jedro umetnosti in je temelj za ustvarjanje novosti. Temeljito poznavanje tradicije je pogoj za svobodno občutenje svoje lastne individualne ustvarjalnosti. Vztrajam pri avtonomiji umetnosti in iskanju svoje lastne poti v ustvarjalno svobodo. Prizadevam si najti svoj lastni likovni izraz. V tem iskanju ima pomembno vlogo eksperiment, ki se sklada z mojo akcijsko neposrednostjo.

Title:
In Between Illustration and Fine Artistic Printmaking
Abstract:
My work is "autotematization of the creative background", with the emphasis on meeting with "original" graphics, with artistic printmaking, which results in a personal experience of graphics and individual aspects of the creative process in printmaking. The emphasis is on artistic action, which is based on genuine artistic experience and creativity, on genuine sensuality. It is about authentic artistic experience in creation that results in a distinctly material, sensual and concrete artefact. The core of graphics is the matrix, there is where the drama of my own creative process is happening. Printmaking is not only a hard physical work, but it also requires a specific artistic thinking. An important element of my studio work is the systematic study of modernism, especially cubism. It was the meeting with Picasso where I found creative alternatives. Most important for me is shape and the shape is subject to catharsis. The key is the expressive line, the one that carries the »elan vital«. There is also Matisse, who with his color influenced my shapeforming. Because I created printmakings in woodcut, my creative interest was focused on finding the basic principles of "modern" woodcut with E. Munch and A. Kiefer. I learned about the tradition of the "Ljubljana Graphic School", with which drawing in perceived in its original dimension and complexity. Tradition is the core of art and is the basis for creating novelties. A thorough knowledge of tradition is a prerequisite for the free feeling of one's own individual creativity. I insist on the autonomy of art and the quest for my own path to creative freedom. I'm trying to find my own artistic expression. In this search, an important role is played by an experiment that is consistent with my action immediacy.
