The undergraduate thesis focuses on women in Vladimir Bartol's Demon in Eros. The research is conducted from an autonomous point of view; however, it slightly outlines the author's attitude towards women since the stories have been many times directly equated with Bartol's own opinion. Further the thesis illuminates the presentation of female characters, their independence in the stories or their dependence on male characters. It not only focuses on how women are presented through male characters, but also analyses the opinions and attitude of the narrator. It outlines known stereotypes and researches if (and how) they manifest themselves in the stories.
