This thesis presents the way to the CE marking from the truck mixer manufacturer’s perspective. The marking has to be affixed to certain products, as it expresses their conformity with the essential requirements of the relevant EU directives and is a condition for them to be sold on the EEA market. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical and legislative background of the CE marking, various ways and tools that are available to us to achieve compliance, such as harmonised standards and modules, and the general legislative requirements for compliance. Further is a description of the machinery itself. Emphasis is on the directives and essential requirements referring to it. In this part, we examined the machinery and its technical documentation for potential nonconformities. We also performed the necessary measurements. We have found that the product conforms to the essential requirements of the directives for the most part, only minor structural changes were required as a result of some newly applied standards.
