Andrej E. Skubic is one of the most prominent Slovenian contemporary literary figures. All the awards he has already received are a sign of his indisputable talent. Three of his novels (Bitter Honey, How Much Are You Mine? and You Just Come Home) received the Kresnik Prize, which is awarded to the best novel of the year. This thesis is a search of the red thread, which connects Skubic's work. Analysis of the three selected novels has led to a conclusion that Skubic's writing is distinguished by language, which is adapted according to an individual's social background, reccuring motifs, such as a love triangle, themes and types of characters. The protagonist of a Skubic's intimate story is a flawed person; and this is what makes them even more likable.
