The master's thesis deals with the problem of connecting municipalities in Slovenia. At present, there are 212 municipalities in Slovenia, each in its own way engaged in the realization of its purpose, they are providing the necessary goods to its citizens. They can also do this by connecting and overcoming municipal borders. With the help of theory and practical analysis, we determined how the intermunicipal connection of the Municipality of Medvode with six neighboring municipalities was; City Municipality of Ljubljana, Municipality of Kranj, Municipality of Škofja Loka, Šenčur Municipality, Vodice Municipality and Municipality Dobrova - Polhov Gradec. The comparative analysis examined the mandates 2010-2014 and 2014-2018, analyzed projects and inter-municipal links in detail. We found that cooperation between municipalities is significantly longer in the 2014-2018 term, as evidenced by the number of projects and inter-municipal links. The connections take place both at formal and informal level. In the past, Medvode also had some negative experiences in connection with the construction of a treatment plant. The Municipality of Medvode, together with the Municipality of Škofja Loka, has most of the projects, with MOL they are presented in the most expensive communal project, and successfully cooperate with other neighboring municipalities.
