My diploma thesis presents the astrophysics phenomen gravitational lensing. Firstly, first historical events of the phenomen are described. Secondly, some main characteristics of gravitational lensing are explained. By Newton's model of gravitation I derive the equation for deflection of light ray and the connection between objects' position and the position of the source image. I present the law of refraction and I compare plano-convex lens with lens that is used to show the characteristics of gravitational lensing. The shape of that lens is also derived. In the last part, I prepare some experiments with right shaped lens to introduce the phenomen.
