HDPE is one of the most widely used plastic materials for everyday use. Its widespread use is causing negative consequences, such as environmental pollution. Material recycling is highly desirable in terms of sustainable development. For this purpose, it is necessary to know the changes in the properties of recycled material with respect to the base material. Finding changes in thermal properties and knowing their meaning is also necessary information that is used for the reprocessing of the waste product. The main goal of this thesis is intended for the determination of thermal changes of single-recycled high density polyethylene in various mixtures with basic material and exploring the reasons for possible changes. The practical part explains the testing process and the analysis on the DSC device. We found that single recycling has no significant influence on thermal properties, such as melting point, crystallization and degree of crystallinity.
