The diploma thesis deals with the optimization of the handling process of a three-component product, which serves as the connecting part between the system for automatic opening of the trunk and the automobile chassis. Until now, the company had a handling line for the assembly of this product, but it had many defects that reflected in poor productivity, poor product quality, and inadequate work ergonomics. In the first part, for the purpose of better understanding, theoretical bases and the explanation of some technical terms are first presented. This is followed by a description of the product and preliminary assembly conditions with their challenges and difficulties. Then, a new concept is set up and solutions are provided based on the requests and problems. The result of the optimization is a service line with higher productivity and less downtime, thus achieving a higher quality of the finished product and more user-friendly ergonomics.
