In this thesis, we analyzed a model of a smart factory – RAMI4.0, which in its 3D form tries to represent the operation of Industry 4.0. It is a phenomenon of the fourth industrial revolution, bringing changes, not only in the field of industry and manufacturing processes, but also forms the basis for a new, modern social infrastructure, which puts the individuals wishes and needs first. From these complex demands, smart products have been developed to combine many intricate functions. Each product is unique and able to carry essential information about itself, while still compatible with other subsidiary products. RAMI 4.0 form contains: product life cycle, hierarchical levels of the company, and architectural layers of information technology.
