This bachelor thesis is intended for teachers of technic class and computer science in elementary schools, as an idea for learning activity in the form of a workshop, a lesson or a technical day. This is a learning activity where pupils create a table from wood that tilts around two axes. For tilting, two servomotors are controlled by the accelerometer, with the two being connected through Arduino.
The whole text is written with a teacher as an intended reader in mind. The complete table design is described, from materials and tools to instructions for putting everything together. Descriptions of components includes some background about how they work. Next, the reader gets familiar with the connection of each component to the breadboard, calibration of the servomotor and the accelerometer, and the final program that controls the table. At the end, we give a short description about a workshop we held, and some further ideas.
