The aim of this thesis is to enhance kitchen elements and include an accessory that further facilitates food preparation. Kitchen is primarily designed for the elderly and some of the physically disabled. First, full scope of diseases of the elderly and ergonomics is analytically considered. Materials that could potencially be used in a kitchen are analysed. On this basis, more ergonomically appropriate kitchen is designed and placed into floor plan with different layouts. More attention is given to elements that are in contact with user, and they have been redesigned. All this is followed by plans, visualization and evaluation of the solution.
