In the media we constantly hear words such as Israel, Palestinians, clashes, etc. It is a long-standing dispute between two nations, which were always looking for help and support at the great powers like France, United Kingdom, Soviet Union and United States. On the last one, the Israelis were often turning to, especially when the first two lost their influence in the Middle East. They needed a strong ally who would support them and send them military assistance, and the United States on the other hand needed a partner in the Middle East to oppose the Soviet Union, with which they were in the Cold war at the time. The peculiarity and complexity of this dispute, the solution of which is still a pressing problem, has attracted me to explore it more closely and try to determine which side actors are involved in it and why it is so difficult to resolve.
The purpose of the thesis is therefore to explore US foreign policy and its impact on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The aim of the thesis is to explore the alliance between Israel and the United States, and to find out what kind of influence the American Jewish community has on the mentioned policy, which is why I look more closely at the movement of Zionism and the aforementioned community. In order to achieve my goals, I use the descriptive method of work and the historical method of work, which gives a particularly clear picture of the behavior of the United States and presents its foreign policy in the case of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
