The thesis describes the examination of field tests with the Ménard pressuremeter, owned by the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering Ljubljana. These tests are used to determine the characteristics of the soil that is needed for foundations. They were carried out across Slovenia from the year 2000 onwards. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts.
In the first part, there is a description of the Ménard pressuremeter, its equipment and the description of the process. And in the second part, which is more extensive, a review and analysis of the field tests are carried out. Field tests are divided first by location, then depending on the depth in which they are carried out, on the probe type in combination with the strength of the soil, the year of the measurement and, finally, the frequency of field tests in the soil. The results of the field tests are compared on a global scale, with France, from which this pressuremeter originates and with Turkey. The objective is to review, classify and describe the field tests that have been made so far and compare their data with the data from abroad.
